Electronic check re-presentment
LML’s Electronic Check Re-Presentment (RCK) service significantly increases recoveries from returned checks, by re-presenting them for payment electronically with greater speed and higher priority than traditional paper re-deposit allows.

When eligible paper checks are returned to LML’s merchant clients or to the merchant’s bank due to insufficient funds in a checkwriter’s account, they are forwarded to LML for electronic processing. LML captures the bank account information from the returned check, and resubmits the item electronically through the facilities of the Automated Clearing House ("ACH") Network.

Electronic items are easier to process, are re-presented for payment more quickly than paper items, and generally are given priority in the re-presentment process over paper checks.

In addition, earlier entry into LML’s checkwriting databases reduces the opportunity to pass multiple bad checks.

LML offers RCK services on a standalone basis or as part of a package of services that may include Collections services.

Merchants can also choose to convert a paper check to an electronic transaction right at the point-of-purchase. Visit our Electronic Check Conversion pages for information on how this service works, and the benefits that merchants can derive from it.

If you are having to deal with bouncing checks, LML’s RCK service may be part of the solution. Contact LML for a
